Our Staff

Publisher: John Arthur Miller Everybody calls John Arthur Miller "JAM." You might as well do it, too. A writer at heart, he feels he understands writers. Has a private web office of over 300 writers, editors, poets and artists at www.americanzoetrope.com. Loves promoting others, has an addicting fascination with short stories, appreciates poetry, and named two of his children after famous artists (Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gough), hence his love and appreciation for art. His greatest quality is his ability to dream big. Like balloons, his dreams carry him away.

Managing Editor: Sue Babcockwas a troll living under a rock in the broad expanse of the Rio Grande valley. For decades she'd peer out at the gaudy, dazzling world around her, then scurry back into her comfortable darkness. One day a dragon visited and its fiery breath and incendiary heat shattered Sue's protective rock. She closed her eyes for a heartbeat before trying to climb on that dragon's back. Someday she will succeed.

She's also an editor at Silver Blade, a sister fantasy magazine, and on the Board of Directors of the Silver Pen Writers' Assoc

Fiction Editor: Kevin Wallis
fully intends to enslave the world through cryptic messages hidden within the stories of Liquid Imagination, just as soon as he changes his son's poop diaper, finishes his two daughters' homeschool lessons, and rubs his wife's feet for awhile. After that though, it's enslaving time.

Poetry Editor: Chrissy Davis Poetry Editor: Chrissy Davis was born and raised a California girl. I live with my husband, daughters and our small zoo of neurotic pets. I am the author of two volumes of poetry, Raven's Brew and In the Face of Indigo. I work full-time for a major telecommunications company where my co-workers will say I'm the office clown and keep H.R. on their toes (not everyone finds the same things as funny as me, teeeheeee) I spend my spare time reading, writing, wishing I was beachcombing or going to the doggy park.  I lead a poetry group at a local hot spot, edit poetry for Liquid Imagination (whooohoooo!) and volunteer at Mary Graham Children's Shelter. I help teens get their feelings on paper about topics they face daily, such as depression, drugs, cutting, abuse, love and happiness. This has been my greatest reward since my writing career began, and I adore each and every poem I have ever received from a child. I currently have plans to assist with a project helping underprivileged kids with reading and writing called The Writer's Project. I don't like broccoli or marketing through Facebook and other social media networks, (or marketing period) but I do it anyway (mostly). I will admit I would rather be playing with my dogs or eating peanut butter and double chocolate ice-cream. To learn more, visit Raven's Brew

Microfiction Editor: Brandon L. Rucker
is a writer, editor and recording artist from Indiana. When he’s not playing the role of dad and husband on the reality show that is his life, he writes fiction and produces his own music because he is compelled to do so. You can keep up with him at his blog, Brandon Rucker Writes where you can find info and links to all manner of things he does in writing, publishing, music, networking and general geeking out.(Note: Brandon was the music coordinator for LI issues 5 - 7).

Voice of Fiction: Robert C. Eccles
is a radio news reporter and anchor who enjoys writing short horror and sci-fi stories.

Artist: Jack S. Rogers
takes something existing, like seashells, macaroni and even burned toast, and uses it to create the colors and textures of what he need. His art isn't based on the art or pictures he finds, but instead he creates what he already sees within his mind by finding what fits within the image he already has... much like shattering colored ceramic tiles and using the shards to create mosaics, except his mosaics are far more controlled. He simply releases shapes and uses them to create what he sees in his own mind. Visit my art on Xanga.com    (return to Issue 5)
