the man i met …
a man named Creed
was waiting for someone
maybe even me
at the corner of
reason and catastrophe

thirsty for his kool aid smile
i followed him
he followed back
holding on tight to his
luxurious brilliance
he was a soft diamond

he is weak enough
to want me yet
strong enough
to leave
I am his truth
he is my dare
even after we cross the street
